Barrie Direct, started with just one truck on April 4th of 2001. At that time, one man was the driver, the dispatcher, the invoicer, administrator, plus the sales and marketing personnel. Barrie Direct had a service vision of offering a same day service that actually started North of Toronto, so that customer deliveries were at their city destination first thing in the morning before the day started. Today we have over 10 trucks with a mixture of dry van equipment ranging from 24’ to 53’.

When asked how we survived almost 20 years with two recessions, power outages, and ice storms, we reflect back to our grass roots of perseverance and staying focused on top notch customer service.

Even in today’s economic environment, Barrie Direct’s main objective is to remain responsible to their customers, their team, and the safety of Ontarians. Transportation is one of the most essential services to our supply chain.
